• Bioluminex assay comes in a kit format or can be done as a contract service at ChromaDex. • Summary of Kit Procedures - Prepare 1 L of bacteria media. - Inoculate bacteria into 200 ml media. - Incubate 24-30 hours or until brightly luminescent. - Prepare samples. - Apply samples to HPTLC plate. - Separate samples using thin-layer chromatography techniques. - Evaporate solvent from HPTLC plate. - Prepare bacteria for next day’s assays. - Coat HPTLC plate with luminescent bacterial solution. - Remove excess bacteria with a squeegee. - Detect and record results.
